I wouldn't count the Chinese out just yet. One thing worth mentioning is their access to the world's raw material resources via key relationships with countries in South America, Africa and of course within China itself. While I agree with the demographic analysis I don't agree the Chinese culture will stay static but will evolve as the US's has evolved since our own industrial revolution.
