The show must go on. That’s what Minneapolis rapper/writer/singer Dessa said after her van was burglarized Friday evening while on tour with her band in New York.

That stinks. Dessa works hard and she's very gracious to the people around her. She's one of those people you meet in the entertainment industry who have a ton of talent and charisma and work hard, but also are good and decent people. She'll be fine. It still stinks, though.

New York City is a high crime city just as is Minneapolis (and every Democrat voting stronghold in America). If you are foolish enough to leave your gear in a van unattended, I suppose you made yourself a victim.

ARRey sez: At least she didn't lose any good guitars or amps. Oh, it's rap? Never mind.

New York City has absolutely nothing to do with this. It is obvious that Plizzo either (1) failed to read the article; or (2) lacks any geographic knowledge. Either way, it is quite impossible to not understand we are speaking about Buffalo, NY, and not New York, NY.

I've been through Buffalo more than once. I drove to the next city before I filled up with gas. It's safe there in the winter as the criminals won't go out in the snow. Summer not so much.
