LOS ANGELES — The exclusion of Jack Klugman from an Emmy Awards tribute that includes Cory Monteith is an insult to the memory of the late TV veteran and three-time Emmy winner who starred in "The Odd Couple" and "Quincy M.E.," Klugman's son says.

Agree with Jack Klugman's son. Klugman was a certified talent, with six decades of acting experience (Broadway, film, and television) and three Emmys to his name. Monteith had one good role and no Emmys.

I agree. The memories part of the show is always interesting to my husband and I. But with so many beloved older actors dying now, maybe there should be a separate one for the deaths of younger ones, too. Jack K was one of the best.

So true. I had no idea who montieth was as I dont watch Glee. Nobody can not know who Klugman was. Just because he was on a "limited" popular show shouldnt qualify him for such an honor. He was a junkie who had the world as his oyster and chose drugs. In my book that makes him a loser not a winner like JK.

While Klugman was a giant compared to Monteith, begging for recognition lacks class.

I think a person could make a much stronger case for Charles Durning to get a tribute. No offense to Jack Klugman but Charles Durning's body of work was better.

Noting the glaring omission of someone who made great contributions to the industry being celebrated is not "begging." As for Charles Durning, yes, a much greater talent, but much more a film (Oscars) actor.

What about Bonnie Franklin and Annette Funicello? Klugman was very well known however, Bea Arthur wasn't mentioned in a previous Academy Awards presentation nor Farrah Fawcett and they were both in feature films. I think he's going to have to deal.
