Target plans to hire fewer seasonal workers this year

In a bit of a twist from traditional holiday hiring practices, Target Corp. plans to employ fewer seasonal workers than last year.

What a deceiving headline. Journalism 101 - fail. Target is REDUCING the amount of temp. staff they will hire this year, and nowhere dows it mention whether the 50,000 Kohl's will hire is more or less than past holiday seasons. At least make an attempt to have some journalistic integrity!

I would assume people are going to up their buying, or at least their charging things. That bodes well for everyone doesn't it.

Yah!!! More minimum wage jobs!!! That should knock that pesky unemployment rate down. Winter of Recovery #5. Oh joy!!!

The Obama economy is good retail chains will be hiring less seasonal workers. Expect some dismal holiday numbers this year.

Back to school was a disaster for most retailers and they aren't too excited about XMAS. Target is also beginning to take full time jobs and split them to where they are shared jobs. Would you like to guess why?
