PLYMOUTH, N.H. — It slammed into land and rapidly moved north, destroying buildings, altering coastlines, ripping apart forests and shocking a population that had never experienced a hurricane.

My Mom and her family lived through this. It was incredible. But people took care of each other, even without FEMA!

Always wonder why the print version has photos and the web version doesn't. Seems like it would be the other way around. Definitely expected photos for this story, given the headline.
