Been warning you about this guy, MN D better bring their A game or it will be a long afternoon. This team had 22 first downs (in a loss) to Stanford so they are going to move the ball no matter what. Gophers need to be able to run and wear them down, and have a couple of opportune turnovers / sacks. Nice test, at least they are playing a legit team. No, I don't just read the paper, I live 2 miles from SJSU and go to 3-4 games a year, was at the Stanford game too.

This article makes San Jose State sound pretty good. How come Jerry Kill didn't buy out of this game as well? I thought that was protocol for teams who might pose a challenge in the non-conference schedule.

tcoe, yes they are pretty good, better than NC. They won 11 games last year and lost to Stanford by 3 (LY). The coach left for the Buffalos, so they have a new system, however the QB and wideouts are back.

tcoeguy - that's because SJ State is good. While I haven't seen Fales in person like, gregory58 has, I've seen more than a few highlights here on the local news (I live in Walnut Creek). Your Gophers are in for a real dog fight.

This article is not setting up a Gopher loss(which is possible) any where near a s much as it is setting up the Vikings first round pick next spring !

If the Gophers lose this game, then Kill's in real trouble. Then they'd have to win 3 conference games to be bowl eligible and that's uncharted territory for a Kill coached Gopher team. A regression in year #3 would not bode well.

Ms Rayno's take on David Fales is absurd. He in fact has run from 3 schools where he faced competition,rather than stay and compete. Mr. Fales clearly does not enjoy challenges, which may not bode well for his performance on Saturday.
