Adrian Peterson demands more of himself when his rushing stats are merely good, not great.

Adrian's better days are behind him. He better just set his goals t0 1600 per season.

'Only' 100 yards leaves Vikings' Peterson 'soul-searching' **** And his agent team searching.

Sorry, but soul searching probably isn't the best phrase to use.... "reality check" is what Peterson needs to worry about. With no real passing game, he is going to be the one to stop and as predicted, you saw it in the last two games, and will see it in the next five as well. The vikings need new leadership; simple as that and what a waste this season has already become.

Peterson is delusional. The idea he could gain 2500 yards all on his own is absurd. And that's what he did last year. Ten plays for no gain and then a 50 yard burst because he's such a relentless, gifted runner. If he had a coach, quarterback and decent offensive line, the amount of yardage he could gain would be limitless. Unfortunately, he'll have to do it all on his own in an offensive scheme that is clueless as to how to deal with teams stacked to stop him.

Peterson and the Vikings don't get it...the whole fan base is screaming for a passing game. Ponder's inability to scan the whole field (only looks at primary receiver) and failure to throw to the open man...well, we all know what the defense will do. Stack 8 to defend the run, which leaves 6 to block them...there's no way Peterson and the Vikings can make this work.

Each week we read Peterson saying he should have done more while we see everyone including Ponder saying Ponder had bright moments. Well you now play Cleveland so if you have a decent game let's not act like we have a pro bowl QB

The Vikings coach's need to realize that opposing teams would rather see Ponder throw for 600 yards and 8 tds, than allow AD to beat them. Teams simply will not allow him to do what he did last year, and if the play calling remains as predictable as it has been it's only going to get worse.

Peterson is hit behind the line of scrimmage on virtually every play. The offensive line is just horrible. Last year AP was able to shake off some of those hits behind the line of scrimmage for big gainers. That will come this year again and will disguise the fact that our offensive line can not effectively run or pass block. Watch the game this weekend and see how often Ponder has immediate pressure or Peterson is touched behind the line of scrimmage. It is amazing to me that folks think Fusco, Loadholt, Johnson and even Sullivan and Kalil are effective blockers. I have seen Kalil and Sullivan get blown up on several plays already this year. What was thought to be a strength this year, is turning out to be a real negative. Add that to our many holes at linebacker, defensive back and lack of depth on the defensive line, and you have to wonder if Rick Spielman is still working for the Miami Dolphins.

I love AD as much as the next guy but I get a little tired of hearing him talking about statistics all of the time. What we need are wins (and a qb who isn't the laughing stock of the league)
