Walker Art Center revisits Claes Oldenburg’s 1960s art and finds the germ of today’s polished Pop in his rougher, more acerbic early work. With his “Spoonbridge and Cherry,” New York-based artist Claes Oldenburg gave Minneapolis a photogenic icon with astonishing staying power.
