The lefthander has struggled to regain last year’s form, but his 6⅓ solid innings helped keep the White Sox at bay.

three more postgame thoughts: 1)white sox broadcaster steve stone reports that gardenhire is questioning whether the twins' are willing to spend the money needed to field a competitive team 2) with mauer at first and escobar at short and a couple starting pitchers who can pitch, the twins could be competitive next year and 3)it would seem that mr. reusse and mr. souhan have finally seen the light....

The Twins must be the only team in MLB with 3 catchers batting over .300. Who is Eric Fryer? Also only 4 strikeouts. Must be a team low for the year. It's hard to win when you don't score and hard to score when you don't make contact. Always good to beat the Sox.

This is pretty much the way the Twins have to win these days: quality start, good pitching by the middle relief, scratch together a few runs, and have Perkins come in for the save.

Cue the crickets.

What are the odds Gardenhire doesn't get his 1000th win in a Twins uniform?

ladykasSep. 18, 13 5:59 PM

Three more wins not guaranteed.

Has BallFour officially thrown in the towel on the chase for the Wild-Card?

Haha! Totally forgot about this joke of a franchise. Out of site, out of mind I guess. Actually stopped watching this clown act months ago. Honestly, until I see headlines stating that the ENTIRE FRONT OFFICE AND COACHING STAFF HAVE BEEN SUMMARILY DISMISSED, I will have zero interest in this team going forward. ZERO!

Talk about an after-thought. The Twins.

,Just keep thinking of me, mharmon. With your memory, it must be hard, so I appreciate it even more.
