The coaches and players put on a united front a day after late-game confusion led to a disheartening defeat and left the team 0-2.

You gotta go for the jugular on the road, and drive the dagger in with a touchdown at the end and don't settle for a field goal. No glory! But more importantly, we can't continue to give the opponents thirty points every week.

why is the middle linebacker playing at this time..he can not cover..a nickel or dime package at this

We spend 4 picks to get Patterson, and neither the coach nor offensive coordinator can figure out how to use him. Totally inept. The offense looks exactly the same as last year. Hand off to Peterson for a couple yards, try a 2 yard pass, hand off to Peterson again....anemic. Frazier is stuck in the 80's. "We're a running team, that's who we are." Who cares that we have at least two pro bowl level receivers? Let's run the ball, again and again, and forget about the pass. But look who they have throwing the ball. Meanwhile, with victory in their grasp, Leslie stands like a statue and does nothing to help his team win the game. Good job, Coach.

0-2, and off to the races! Wilf's haven't been overly smart about a few areas in their ownership of the Vikings, but I do think they have made a good decision about not extending Leslie's contract....he just doesn't seem to get the program - count the ways, including only have Patterson in on 11 plays in two games! Incredible... play calling, very poor in critical play situations, but perhaps the assistants he hired just aren't that good. These first two wins can be layed at the door of management -from Spielman on down, I can only hope that they make major changes in leadership next year....or sooner!

Cook has proven himself...... to be a disappointing waste of a 1st round pick

a well oiled machine it is not. As previous posts have suggested, where's the fire and anger associated with wanting to do better rather than the resigned tones we've been hearing after games? Bill Cowher open to offers?

4 minutes left, Vikes have a first down on the Bears 6 yard line...the coaches refuse to put in tall receivers, such as Patterson and Webb. With Rudolf, it would be highly likely that in three plays, one of them would catch a TD pass. No, let's keep the short guys out there and run three plays that have no chance to score a TD. Kick a field goal and let our defense hold on...CRAP!

The Wilfs don't get it. The head coach and quarterback are the two most important members of any top NFL team. Childress and Frazier are not top coaches. Jackson, Frerotte, Favre, McNabb and Ponder. Where's the top QB in that mix? Don't blame these players and coaches of course they want the job. Blame the Wilfs for pushing the button on these guys.

What has Bishop done to tick off the coaches. The starting linebackers are horrible, and that includes Greenway, who has had two games in which he takes bad angles and appears really slow. Henderson just jumps on the pile after the play, and Michell is invisible. I guess using an experienced, tough, smart linebacker (Desmond Bishop) doesn't fit with what the coaches envision for the defense.

"frenetic final drive"? The Fox announcers were ripping the Bears for taking too long on the last drive, wasting valuable seconds. If that drive was "frenetic", what is the defense going to do when they Philadelphia?
