Wild notes: Power-play units take shape

I don't think it's rocket surgery as to why the Wild was so dismal on the power play at home. WAY too many times they were looking for the "wow" pass that rarely materialized instead of simply getting the puck and bodies to the net. If they can do that more consistently this year, with the level of offensive ability they now have, i think we could see a dramatic uptick in the team's power play numbers.

Russo - good work on calling out the PP discrepancy home and road for last season. Maybe Wild fans at xcel will stop yelling SHOOT if they see those figures? We can at least hope?

deepbreath, how does that explain the discrepany in being top of the NHL in away-game powerplays and bottom in the league for home PP? Or maybe, as the previous person wrote, it's the fans yelling "SHOOOOOOOT."
