LOS ANGELES — Nneka Ogwumike stepped up for Los Angeles after Candace Parker was ejected in the third quarter and led the Sparks to a win in a potential Western Conference finals preview.

Lynx inability to find a way to win in LA this year is befuddling. Some team matchups are difficult that way, but a shame that five of this season's eight losses came in that venue. Thursday's loss also cost the team its induction into the record book with the most wins over a three-year span -- though not nearly as important as what's ahead in the near-term as playoffs begin and home court advantage is locked in. Looking forward to rooting for the Lynx as the double down to play their disciplined brand of offense and defense in the weeks ahead.

Princess Parker thinks she deserves a foul call every time an opponent looks at her cross-eyed; the refs also frequently allow her to commit fouls with impunity. About time a WBNA ref was finally willing and able to penalize her for her whining antics.

Closest we've come at Staples in quite some time. The W would have been nice, but I am glad Reeve sat some of her starters for big chunks of time - no need to risk an injury now. Looking forward to the playoffs, go Lynx!
