Many factors can induce others to perpetuate sexual crimes. They should not be discriminated against if they are doing their time. They once paid taxes like the rest of us.

Convicted sex offenders in jail have always been able to marry. It was always perplexing to me that the MN Family Council did nothing to stop that, but instead has attacked gays, that pay taxes, go to work and commit no crimes.

Who cares what anyone else does? If offenders in the program are allowed to marry members of the opposite sex (which they are), then there's no reason to deny same-sex marriage. That doesn't necessarily mean that they would get to decide where they serve or with whom they room, just like anyone else wouldn't. All in all, it's very much a non-issue, but I suppose folks have to make a big deal out of anything related to sex offenders or same-sex marriage, so this is a double whammy.
