No matter which firm is chosenI hope they will retain most of the existing trees. The biggest disappointment when they rebuilt the mall is that theremoved all the trees and started over. The new trees are finally of a substantial size ....SO PLEASE RETAIN THEM

Immediately, all the teapublicans who live out in the exurbs don't want to spend any money down in the big, evil, Godless "city," but they sure are quiet when metro-area taxpayers' money goes to build a wider, smoother road out to their near-empty town.

rshackleford....what Viking mess are you talking about? Sure the state can't come up with their share but Minneapolis has already generated a surplus of $5 million dollars from the Vikings tax...and that surplus goes into the general fund. The Minneapolis funding plan is sound.
