No encore? Fans expect an encore.

Encore is too cliche. Taylor Swift is above cliche =)

Only complaint was the lack of older material. That would have been perfect for the nonexistent encore.

I'm taking my eight year old daughter tonight and am not ashamed to admit I'm pretty excited for both her and myself. While I'm a male pushing age 40 I've always been impressed with her songcraft and ability to make the listener feel her emotions, despite the age and gender differences.

I appreciated the lack of an encore, it is a tired cliché. I go to a lot of concerts, and I'm a straight 28 year old man, and this was one of the better shows I have ever seen.

Deserting the country fan base is probably a good idea, to keep a solid distance from the tea party.

If Taylor Swift is indeed deserting her country fan base, she will discover in a year or two that it was a huge mistake. The most generic of country crooners like Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw still manage to have 25-year careers on the charts because of the loyalty of the country music fan base. George Strait, the ultimate generic country act, has been on the charts for something like 35 years now because of that same loyal fan base. By contrast, how many pop acts that originated in the early 90s are still on the charts today? Taylor Swift is very unlikely to be the exception on that front. Not sure if I share the author's opinion on her going full-on pop but he does raise some good points based on her recent trajectory, and if he's right, expect a "tail between her legs" return to country for Taylor in another couple of years after the fickle pop audience moves on to the next big thing.

Does anyone know what time Taylor actually started last night? I am bringing my daughter tonight and would like to get there just before Taylor actually takes the stage.

@Treitline: If you want to hear what GOOD music sounds like, get there for the opening act, Casey James. He'll have a longer music career than Taylor Swift will.

She took the stage at 8:40 last night and played until 10:30. I was there. It was a great concert!
