"We expect GREAT things from Christian this year" -Rick Speilman. I guess that makes one of us. I expect Ponder in 2013 to be exactly like he was in 2012. A Roller Coaster of "really bad" to "average" QB play. We do realize there are some QB's that don't really progress and continue to improve each year right? RIGHT? Ponder is one of them. One word sums up Ponder-LIMITED.

Didn't play so great? Ponder, let me rephrase your statement. You STUNK for over half the games you played.

I'm sorry, bad accuracy is NOT all about fundamentals. If it were all about fundamentals like CP says every QB would be accurate. Fundamentals help but it's really about this... You either have accuracy or you don't. Inaccurate QBs don't play all their lives and then suddenly get accurate due to fundamentals. He's never been very accurate, and never will. Plus I personally feel he lacks confidence - which doesn't help. If he had any confidence in him arm he'd at least attempt to throw the ball into tight windows, but he doesn't, he tucks and runs.

what about all of those 3rd and 2 or 3's where ol #7 dumps it off to Rudolph behind the line for a 1 yd gain: meanwhile somebody is open about 20 yds down field? oh wait...CP is managing the game...yeah that's the ticket...sigh...GO VIKES!!!

As long as he attempts a pass for longer than 1 yard it will be an improvement on the preseason display.

One image stands out in my mind~~after he threw the 2 interceptions against GB, he was laughing and joking on the bench....granted, it's not life or death and guys are always saying funny things, but most other QB's would be looking at what the defense did. As far as the last 4 games are concerned Adrian and the defense had a lot more to do with the wins; Ponder's contribution was staying out of the way.

There has never been a year in Vikings history when there has been so much pressure on one guy to succeed as with Ponder this year - he will have to prove himself every single game and perhaps, every play.

How many times do you think we will have to listen to Ponder say "I have to do a better job" or "I have to improve" after having lost? My guess is often!

'Why don’t we see more deep completions?' Ponder says it’s just a matter of who’s coming open and who’s not coming open. Self-serving inaccurate answer. Reasons for the NFL-worst 25% completion rate on passes over 20 yards are weak, inaccurate arm, and pressure causes cold sweats and jittery feet.

If Ponder's receivers were allowed to use 1st baseman's mitts his completion percentage on passes thrown over 20 yards might rise.
