Mastroianni battles with ankle soreness

HOUSTON – Darin Mastroianni walked through the clubhouse without crutches, without a boot, without even a trace of a limp. A half-hour after being gingerly helped off the field by a couple of athletic trainers, the Twins outfielder had made a complete recovery.

Mastroianni,Clete,Hicks,Presley, are all clones. Good to have one maybe, but not a whole bunch of these type of players.

Those four are similar at this point, but Hicks is much younger, has a much stronger arm and has much more power hitting potential than the others. The issue is whether he can progress next season. The other three are unlikely to make any big improvements in performance.

Gardy is upset with Arcia? He should only be upset with himself. He put him out there. Everyone knows Arcia can't field.

The Twins need to send Mastroianni home to heal , not let him play on it like they did in spring training

The Twins need to send Mastroianni home. Period. If we had optioned for Torrii Hunter when we had the opportunity, or had some decent options in the outfield now, Mastroianni would be out standing... in AA waiting for his turn to bat.
