Shocking how the Affordable Health Care Act will cost significantly more than expected. Of course if you read and understood the massive bill prior to ramming it through, you would have known. Keep in mind that this is owned entirely by the left, not a single republican voted for OBAMAS SIGNATURE LEGISLATION, but no worries, Obama has another distraction set ala a military strike against a country that poses NO THREAT to America to distract you mindless sheep just a little longer. What a great decision it was to elect someone who clearly has no business making decisions on our behalf. Cant thank you Obama voters enough!

This reads like a reprint of government-issued talking points, with no research and no reportorial skepticism whatsoever. Note that the article says rates "lower than expected." Expected by whom? And of course "lower than expected" is a useless number, unless you compare to existing rates. Why did the reporter not research what a healthy young person could pay today for a policy? Is it because today's pre-Obamacare price is actually lower? There are any number of sources for prices of insurance policies. A little bit of research will show that prices are currently lower than the "expected" Obamacare prices for a lot of people - especially young people.

The overhead that goes to insurance companies will be 20% of your premiums. What is it that they do exactly, for that money? The don't do anything. The only thing they ever did was try to deny you the benefits when you need them. Now that they can't do that, they are simply collecting rent. Time for them to go!

I put in my info in the estimator and it was better coverage for the same price I am paying for my retirement insurance(Not 65 yet). I use to buy my son health insurance and his premium was $500.00 a month for 75/25 coverage with large deductible.. Sounds Like Obama care is a deal

Who brought you this horrible bill? Was it Bush? Bigfoot? Reagan? Nope. It was the liberal deep thinkers that are ruining America. Neat huh?

Many things in Life often cost "More" than You expected. Including, Health Insurance, and Out-Of-Pocket Health Care Expenses. Most of us have NO choice, but to "Suck It All Up", and pay whatever the bill comes down to. I've learned that Health Insurance is often a road that leads to disappointment. You pay your Premiums, and THINK that any potential bills will be covered. Until, you receive that letter from the Health Insurance Company that your "Claim For Payment" has been REJECTED. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) will probably just be more of the "Same" for most of us. Because the "Greedy" Health Insurance Companies are involved.

This doesn't include subsidies, plus, you're getting more coverage in the long run. Perhaps the better question to ask is, why does the US pay far more for less than what they get in other countries (who pay far less than we do)?

this entire thing was only a 'national capitalism' sorta, maybe, kinda, health care plan. much like the perscription drug plan done earlier that will destroy medicare. it would have been better to leave the old 'honest capitalist'? system in place. get gov. [single payer] healthcare in place, or just quit trying nibble at the real problems. will viagra be covered? sleep!

It sounds good to me. I currently pay more than twice that amount for my individual health care policy-and I have never even been sick!
