Although the Gophers put up their most points yet at TCF Bank Stadium, they still face questions at running back and receiver.

Until Nelson starts to come off his #1 receiver, it won't matter how many healthy receivers we have.

We also need much more from the offensive line.

The worst part for me was watching UNLV use two pass plays multiple times, almost always with a completion. The Gophers won big, but they never adjusted to that 8 yard pass play. I'm sure there were a few Big Ten teams watching , like about eleven.

I think that the Gophers have an even chance of repeating their 2-6 conference records of the past two years. It is too bad that Illinois in not on the schedule this year...and I suppose that Coach Jer is glad that the AS paid $800,000 to get the Tar Heels off of the schedule as well.

Does this Gophers team remind anybody of the Vikings..... I know it's early, but the Quarterback to the receivers??.

O-line needs to play A LOT better. Nothing is going to happen on offense until they do. That said, it looks like the TE's are the real deal. Limey needs to get them more involved going forward.

Wow game one, they won by 28 against a team that took them to 3 OTs, and you would think the sky is falling. Talk to me in 2 more games, if nothing changes, then so be it, however I think you are going to see significant progress based on the youth of the QB and receivers.

The team has definitely gotten faster and more athletic but still hard to understand why Kill has not produced a much more competitive O line than what we watched.Needs to get better fast, hope it does. San Jose will be the test.

Until they can beat the top BT teams--I dont care what this loser program does. 45 years of losing will do that to a guy.
