Global warming: More warnings ahead

  • Updated: August 28, 2013 - 7:07 PM

Next month, the international arbiter of the scientific consensus on global warming will release its latest evaluation of the state of the research. A few will dismiss the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) findings as overwrought alarmism.

Very few global warming stories when there were frost warnings in the Boundary late July.

Are those real statistics the Post is pushing this time or more made up ones? You see, once you forgo the truth (because to some the end justifies the means), everything new you put out there is simply one more child crying, "Wolf". We need to refuse to cede any more of our money or especially our freedom to liars.

Another warning that totally forget to mention the root cause...human population growth

I'm relieved that I won't live long enough to see the climate-change denial manifest in even more destruction to the planet, but I have no doubt whatsoever that the reason some people have blinders on is that it'll cost money to take responsibility for how we're contributing to the demise. The largest research being done trying to discredit what 97% of the world's climate scientists are telling us is funded by the very corporations which produce the most emissions and make the most money from holding the line on change. It's disgustingly obvious that pollution control is being fought by just those who literally profit from NOT doing anything about it.

Some of you sure seem convinced global warming is real. Assured of this threat as you are how much of your estate have you transferred over to Al Gore and the global warming crowd?

A few decades ago, the 'scientists' were alarmed about the coming 'ice age'. More recently, it was 'global warming'. When that was debunked, they had to rename it 'climate change'. Whatever the upcoming report says, it will just be more of the same bogus nonsense. The earth warms and cools in cycles and has since the dawn of time. Mankind ain't got nothin to do with it.

Sorry, but some here are in total denial or should I say "hopeful denial".... face it, if earth has a cancer it is mankind and all the damage we do to it.

Our entire civilization from medicine to transportation to electronics are based on the findings of scientists. As long as scientists help us find things that help us live longer and more enjoyable lives, everyone embraces what they say. When science warns us of the end of our climate as we know it, we accuse them of being fraudulent huxters. The obvious answer here is that science is making us aware of something that we need to deal with or face consequences that will cost us trillions each year to move our cities and infrastructure to higher ground.

Polar ice cap is shrinking. News flash, I was recently reading the Antarctic ice is increasing. The yin and yang is working as it is supposed to.
