I knew my ‘Breaking Bad’ role would be unpopular, but I didn’t imagine the depth of the hatred. That is, until I understood what inspired it.

Great show. The only character with any redeeming value is the baby.

I purposely did not watch Breaking Bad because I knew it would hook me if I started. Well, I'm in a motel room on vacation, flashing through channels a few weeks ago and AMC is playing several episodes back to back to promote the series ending. So I decide to watch just this one...,then another and another. Now I'm hooked. They got me. Now I'm watching the last few episodes and it is riveting.

Thanks for the comments, Anna. And thanks for bringing, IMHO, a fabulous character to life. I happen to love Skylar. I always root for her. In a lot of ways, she's the smartest character on the show. Walter would have been killed or caught a long time ago if it wasn't for her. I can't understand the hatred for her. I think she's great.

Interesting. The strong woman voicing opposition and not standing by her man is not a popular image. Even today. Strong women are pretty polarizing. It's striking that viewers have moved their hostility from the character to the actress. Telling.
