Excellent points in this article. As a child of immigrants, I really identified with the Civil Rights Movement. How could I not see myself in the marches and demands for equality? That's also what I found when interviewing people for my book - Proud Americans: Growing Up As Children of Immigrants. As President Obama once said, "We must see each other in one another."
