I want to preface my comments below by saying I fully support and recognize the right of the Israeli people to a state and to live in peace, security and harmony. I unequivocally recognize their right to exist. I also believe all this to be true for the Palestinian people. ----- My comment: Once again the Israeli military causes a fracas in attempting to arrest a Palestinian for reasons it won't divulge, and then will later blame it on the Palestinians. Meanwhile, settlement building continues in violation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions related to the Palestinian Question, and well established principles of International Law. This incident is nothing more than a continuation of 46 years of Israel ignoring the United Nations and the International Community in its attempts to secure its future by the indiscriminate use of military force to squash everyone else in the region. The Palestinians throw rocks at Israeli soldiers and the military responds, as it has in the past, by bulldozing entire Palestinian villages as retribution for the rock throwing, or it just shoots them. The record shows the Israeli military has repeatedly killed or injured thousands of Palestinians, illegally deported them from the occupied territories, and maintained an iron fist over them. The historical record clearly shows that Israel has never abided by a single UN Security Council Resolution, even though it is a Member State bound by Article 1 of the Charter of the United Nations. Instead, it has routinely thumbed its nose at the rest of the world and has done whatever it wants, even if that means it takes on the appearance of a pariah. Their intransigence over the occupied territories and the pre-1967 borders and continued settlement building makes it impossible for there to be lasting peace and security in the region. The International Community, the United Nations and other countries have repeatedly said the taking of land and property belonging to another in a time of war is unconscionable and inadmissible. If Israel ever really wants peace it will return to Palestinian control all of the territories it now occupies, including parts of East Jerusalem. That is the only solution which will ever result in peace. Forty-six years now this situation has continued. Enough is enough.

It is all too familiar. The Apartheid Regime does all it can to derail the so-called peace process by provoking the Palestinians. The West Bank had been quiet under extreme circumstances due to the occupation and the only violence we have there is the "price tag" where settlers attack Palestinians and Palestinian properties including churches when they are not happy with their so-called government. And nobody dares to tell the Apartheid Regime to stop the non-sense and end the occupation and the oppression of the Palestinians.
