A QB who can't throw. Who does that remind us of? ... Tebow II, anyone?

@honeyboo As a huskers fan, I'd love to have TMart compared to Tebow. I could care less how he does in the NFL (though I wish him well), but Tebow was one of the most dominant college QB's of all time. I'd put him behind Tommy Frazier for the record. And TMart can throw just fine. He showed marked improvement last year. His issue is protecting the ball and not forcing the issue. All that to say, he's far better than any quarterback to play for the Gophers in the last 50 years. And the 'guy who can't throw' was also 1st team All B1G last year. Just sayin'...

The photo of the woman "overcome with emotion" by meeting Martinez illustrates the difference between Nebraska college football and Gophers college football. How many people would actually recognize Phillip Nelson at the mall much less care if they did? I know, I know, the Twin Cities have so many more sports options than does Nebraska. But hey, they have the College World Series which is very cool If you get a chance to attend you will be amazed -- the whole city is alive with a spirit that reminds me of a Saturday college home football game attitude, but goes on for a week. Oh ya, and the Omaha Royals minor league team is pretty fun too. And did you know the U of Nebraska Omaha has a division one hockey team? Obviously, I lived there for a decade before moving back to the TC. I kind of miss the rabid fans that know how to support their teams.
