This is sad. Much too young to pass and seems like he was a great role model for the Somali immigrant community.

Hussein was a humble public servant who was not only an inspiration and role model for Somalis, but for everyone who knew him. Words simply can't describe the positive impact he had on this community. He leaves a legacy of teaching people how to be responsible and successful in America (while asking nothing in return), and for that we should all be grateful.

Hussein was such a great guy. He used to loan me his car whenever mine broke down. He had a huge heart. I'll miss eating cherry popsicles with him outside the Phillips Freeze.

He was a wonderful, amazing, smart, generous and inspiring man. He will be so missed.
