State Fairgoers keep cool as heat wave approaches

A heat watch goes into effect today through Wednesday; temps and dew points could make it feel hotter than 100 degrees.

Why anyone would attend the State Fair in this weather is completely beyond me.

Misters don't help when the dew point is in the seventies. Fans are all that's needed.

It was real hot in the early 90s too. They had ambulances around the fair handing out glasses of water on senior day if I remember correctly. Attendance on Sunday was way down even though Saturday was up over last year.

but water is still 3 dollars a bottle inside the fair. how about looking out for others and get some cheap or free water out...
