Isn't the Mayo where Mauer went for his legs? Oh-Oh. Can we say bilateral head weakness is next? Or is that just a fancy name for getting his bell rung?

Based on Mauer's toughness we should expect him back in 2015.

I'm a Minnesotan living in NY. What is the deal with so many people being down on Mauer? I was home and saw two Twins-Yanks games at Target Field. The crowd is a complete snooze in Minnesota compared to the East Coast. Mauer comes up to bat and people barely even clap. The Twins are 26th in baseball in team batting average: .242. Mauer continues to hit well and the ball park is not built for his swing for homers. What do you want the guy to do when he is surrounded by guys hitting under .240?

Huck, Minnesotans are too scared to make noise in public, you should know that from living here. They do like to make a lot of noise behind their computers, however. I think most Minnesotans view Joe as a mirror image of themselves; tall, quiet, without a personality, and terrible in the clutch. In essence, they're really just mad at themselves. Joe won't play another game the rest of the year, and probably will go 2 months into next season as well.

Yeah those head injuries are such an inconvenience.

Look, I'm as sympathetic about concussions as anyone, but Mauer's injury track record sort of ruins his credibility when it comes to managing pain and discomfort versus real injury. Hard not to be skeptical.

Joe is going to start exercising and walking to return to baseball activities? Hey! I do that too, where do I sign a contract?!?!?!

Huckfinn deserves an explanation. I think it all started when he had the one monster season, got a monster contract, and then quit giving 100%.
