Who cares if that Ryan is happy with his job? The fans are not happy with his job. What kind of a team is that he is passing off as a major league team? If he wants to be the head of the Twins minor league scouting, then great but he is a horrible GM for this era in baseball. The Twins could be competing for the division if he would have spent the $30 million he saved to get a legitimate top of the rotation starter, a CFer and an infielder that can hit. Everyone but him has known for the last 3 years or more that the team needs an ace at least. Even Liriano was not signed because of money! Baker too even though he has been hurt for the Cubs. He doesn't even try to get Grienke or Sanchez or others. How can you put your wallet back in your pocket when you have not addressed any of these needs and then say that the team will be competitive like he did? Was he a liar or stupid to say that? We were not going to be competitive without at least two top of the rotation guys and a CFer. The sad thing is that he had enough money to do it.

Terry Ryan is the single biggest reason the Twins are in the mess they're in. Keep on smooching Sid.

Terry the Tweaker. Tweak like 2 starting pitchers, and a legitimate center fielder. Re-sign Morneau for big savings and don't play him against left handed pitching.Spend 20-30 million more on bonfide major league ball players. Then quit.

RYAN seems more worried about the all-star game next year then having a winning club.NEVER liked the guy.RYAN is way too conservative to my liking.I would like my job too if i could do a mediocre job and keep it.

Ryan is officially out of touch. The whole organization is complacent, delusional, and sitting around licking their chops over the all star game payday. Disgusting.

This is really starting to "piss" me off. They must think you're real dummies Twins fans. Just like the Wild Gm let's insult the fans intelligence. Oh we've got a great park and the All Star. That's what you're offering Terry? SHAME ON YOU! These fans aren't that gulliable. Come on people start demanding something from this piss poor of an excuse of a GM, Owner and manager. DEMAND IT! DEMAND A WINNER. NOW!

Notice how when Ryan talked about all the things Twins fans should be excited about he mentioned Target Field and the 2014 All Star Game. He didn't say anything about the actual ballclub. If this team wants to retain its fans, it's going to have offer more than, "we hope our prospects can develop to their potential." EVERY TEAM says that, so it's not really a plan. The cheap Pohlads need to let Ryan bring in a couple quality free agents. And by "quality" I'm NOT saying they need to do what the Wild did and ink the top two overall free agents. That's not going to happen, nor should it (just look at the Angels). But nor can they simply dig through the Wal-Mart Free Agent bargain bin and think that's OK. Whoever the 2nd best FA pitcher is, go after him. Go after a solid bat. Throw the fans a bone and at least try to field a team in 2014 that will have a better chance of finishing above .500 than it will of losing 90+ games. Then, hopefully by 2015, Buxton, Sano, et al. will be ready to make a big splash.

"Twins GM Ryan happy with his job, except for the record"...Of course he's happy, he (apparently) has a job for life (just like Gardy)!
