This isn't news--many of us have known for years how essential fruits and vegetables are to human health and the amazing health-giving properties they contain. I'm glad the newspaper is publishing it, though, for anyone who reads it, and may not be aware of this information. They are all so delicious, there should never be an issue with choosing them over a greasy burger and french fries. Even the fast food places are selling salads and fruits. It all comes down to choice, people.

Obviously, it's a pretty well-known fact that fruits & vegetables are good for you. However, not EVERYONE likes them. It's a matter of taste. I'm not crazy about cauliflower and I don't like brussel sprouts, but I do like most other fruits & veggies. Just because Bucky thinks they're so delicious, there should never be an issue over a greasy cheeseburger and fries. That's Bucky's opinion. To each his own. Unfortunately, we can't get decent and affordable fruits & vegetables here year round, if we did, I'd eat them year round. Everything's dried up and tasteless by the time it gets here in the winter. And the prices are outrageous.

Where are the corporate censors? Don't they realize that the Meat and Pharma/Health insurance powers don't like this kind of truth spread? If everyone ate mostly fruits and vegetables, the heart disease/cancer institutions would basically fold up. Its very sad that research goes on to find new and exotic ways to fool/dissect the stomach, when all that is needed is to eat the way God/nature intended us to eat. At any rate, thanks to the Star Trib for publishing this article.
