I applaud Joe Mauer for speaking up and letting management know that he did not feel right and was experiencing some dizziness. Contrast this with Deduno and Arcia who say absolutely nothing as their problems get worse.

Stop the madness, get Joe outta there, put him at 3rd for the rest of this lost season. I suppose he can play first next year, after they low-bid Morneau this fall. Our 23 million man, and one of the best hitters in baseball, is out because "He took about five balls off the head". This is stupid, cmon management smarten up.

I was sitting behind home plate on Monday an wow, there was one hit to the head that made everybody sitting nearby go 'OUCH!' - - - Serious hard hit to the head. This is the correct thing to do. Take care of it. Get Joe straight and make sure he is healthy. An ounce of prevention now is worth a pound of cure down the road. I applaud Joe and Twins staff for this. * * * * * lawtonj1, your negativity indicates maybe you should get checked for a similar blow to your noggin.

Joe has never had a problem letting us know he has an injury or illness, 2011 he was out all the time for various problems. But perhaps that's ok, seems lately when he can't play, the Twins win.

Hope Joe concussion symptoms are not serious but can't say I mind seeing him out of the line up. We seem to do better with him on the bench.

Instead of expressing "disappointment" with players like Deduno and Arcia (and Sano in the minors), why don't the Twins hire a position coach who can converse with their Latin players in Spanish?

That's great that Mauer spoke up to let the team know he couldn't play. Hopefully Gardy and Andy will speak up and let the team know they can't coach.

So the Twins now have a 9-man bullpen. NINE! With Arcia hurting this was the perfect opportunity to call up a position player until they need another starting pitcher. I don't get it.
