Politics is such a tawdry affair. The wrong people run, the wrong people help them win. Power and money drive the day, not conviction nor a sense of promoting a civilized society that works together to solve problems. I wonder if it is this way everywhere, or if our country is particularly affected by this malady. I can't help but think it is largely a product of the two-party system.

Agree mebucko, politics and many politicians are disgusting. Since our Senators and Representatives guard the door, if you will, and prevent the changes necessary to bring some ethics to Washington and to reduce the influence that big money has on Washington and our State Governments, this sad state of affairs will continue! I'm not sure why Bachmann was even mentioned here as the story concerns Sorenson and perhaps Paul but it is representative of problems in our political system that need to be changed.

You can complain about politicians but look who votes for them and why - voters who want to get more bucks in their pocket or favoritism in one way or another. The average voter has no idea what the candidate has done or will do since he hasn't the time or the interest in watching his government in between elections. They are so easy to manipulate one almost has to laugh .... or cry.

The story states she is a victim of this but the headlines and picture still portray her as a villain from the strip, why?
