This is essentially the same team we've had the past few years with the lone exception of Martin. What makes anyone think they can get to 500? Maybe if they stay healthy. They've had some nice mini runs but overall have failed. This team still has McHale's and Kahn's! finger prints all over it. If anyone thinks Shabazz is going to workout they are delusional. After his rookie contract runs out he'll be gone if not traded before then.

Welcome home Pek!

Glad they signed him. But, if I were the Timberwolves management, I would be working on redoing Love's contract. Right now, I feel that Love can't wait to move on.

"The same team we've had the past few years with the exception of Martin" -- uhh. I mean aside from KMart being the best 2 guard we've ever had. Ever. And Budginer being healthy (hopefully) is the perfect, yes perfect, role player in Adelman's corner offense. And when Rubio went out 2 years ago when we were above .500. And Love was out basically all of last year, yet we still had our best non-KG season (sad, but true) What makes me thing we can get to 500? If we stay healthy, we have the best starting 5 we've ever had. We have a deep bench. We have shooters to surround the best passing PG in the league. We have a PF who is one of the top 5-8 players in the NBA. We have a HOF coach, too. Healthy, though, is the key word.

Congrats! I hope everyone stays healthy and we finally have an NBA team worth following. And it doesn't hurt that they seem to be decent guys by pro sports standards. As I age, it gets more and more difficult to pull for players who are jerks just because they wear a hometown jersey.

freedubay - In Rubio's rookie season right before his knee injury the Wolves were the 8th seed. That was with Darko, Wes Johnson, a rookie Derrick Williams, Ellington, Webster, Randolph, Ridnour, Tolliver, Pek, Love and Rubio. If you do not think the Wolves are better off than that collection of players fair enough. But I think they are.

Muddy and I have traded a few barbs here and there but as they say "when you're right you're right" and Muddy is right. Also here's some food for thought. Pek has gotten better each year he has been in the NBA. What if that continues next year?
