Until baseball changes contracts to the point where if you are found to have used PEDs, you forfeit all future money PLUS have to pay back all money earned under the contract already, players will keep using PEDs. They will cheat to get the big contract - even if kicked out of baseball for life they still have all the money they earned by cheating to get in. In addition make the team forfeit all games and titles won were that player played, even if he just struck out. Teams would do their own testing. Also require blood samples to be kept for 10 years - if the player uses a PED that is not detectable at the time, but a test is developed later that finds it, even after the player has retired, the player still has to pay back the millions. Anything less will not stop this. Follow the money.

His "camp?" What exactly does that mean? If you can't say definitively who said what to who the story needs more work.

I think the networks and press are so hypocritical. All I hear what a terrible person Alex (I agree) and how he should be banned for life, but they all follow him around waiting for him to say something. Last week the Yankees were playing on national TV and the cameras were trained on him in the dugout. STOP REPORTING ON THIS GUY, WE DON"T CARE

I am not an A-Rad defender but I am wondering why his suspension can be worse than any other of the offenders. While he admitted once this is the first "caught in the act", Melky Caberra created a fake web site and actively sought to mislead or disrupt the investigation. The Players Association will have to defend A-Rod vigorously or from now on any "first timer" caught in the act will be eligible for a 200+ game suspension. The chickens are coming home to roost!

ARod will be very popular at the next player's union meeting. "Hey guys - can I sit at your table?"
