Good article Mr. Anderson. I hear men talking about hunting. Some love to hunt but some just love to kill. Very sad.

Setting up a both to sell is not giving back.

Good article. I don't think much of this guy. in a more just society he'd be "giving back" a lot, lot more and getting an education about right and wrong in the process.

Be nice to actually hear him say something about respecting the game he pursues. It's guys like him who make skybusters out of kids who should learn when to pass on a shot, and that the number of shells you go through in a season isn't a measure of your prowess as a hunter.

He sounds like a great example of how not to be. I'm doing what I can to not have him, a or anyone sponsoring events associated with him make a living off it.

Hunting guides ruin it for the average guy. They burn up public lands first then go where only they have permission on private property that used to be open to friends of the landowner or an ok with a knock at the door. I question whether making a living off a public resource should be ok.

"Foiles was recently released after serving a 13-month sentence for violating two relatively minor duck hunting regulations (both misdemeanors), including exceeding his bag limit.".......And we wonder why our country's incarceration rate is the highest in the world. Total insanity.

viking1234Aug. 26, 1312:23 PM

I have no problem with the guy selling his gear, he f-ed up, paid the price, let him get on with his life and earn a living, but the writer is trying to softball Foiles to us. Regarding the spring snow goose season; they are overpopulated and destroying the breeding grounds up north, a little bit of research would allow you to understand that. The dead conservationists would probably be applauding hunters efforts. Second, the state/Federal biologist theory is funny. Everyone knows they do it for the money... Third, since when has it become a crime to try and shoot as many ducks/geese as the law allows? Sounds like the author is envious that some folks can afford to hunt every day or travel the flyway(s) to kill birds. Probably voted for Obama. He has something and I don't, it's not fair. Finally, the difference between Foiles and most hunters it that most of us don't feed bread to banded geese in the park and shoot them with a pellet gun so we can look like a coolguy with a lanyard full of bands.....oh, and most of us don't put camo face paint on our dog. Only the king of the douchebags would even think of something like that.

Dennis Anderson would have better served the waterfowl community and informed the public had he expanded his classification of waterfowlers to include: a) hunters who shoot dead falling birds 3 or 4 more times in the air rendering the meat inedible, b) hunters who keep crippled birds alive for hours so that they can be taunted and included in video segments including ventriloquism, and c) hunters who have shot their buddy's dog. Or you could just collapse these into one additional category: folks like Jeff Foiles. Anderson's endorsement of Foiles and fact that waterfowl hunters still support his businesses are indicators, as critical as the stats on CRP losses and impaired water quality, that the future of waterfowl hunting is seriously threatened.

I took the time to create an account just to voice how little I and most waterfowlers disgust this guy. The things he has done could basically assemble a How-Not-to book on waterfowling and provides unnecessary ammunition to groups against hunting. Do the research before you believe this man has served his time. Travisty i tell you! If this was the middle east I would show up just to chuck a shoe at him!
