WOW!!! Unbelievable, the TWINS win in a walk off hit. Oh yeah it is the White Sox. An Amazing game, time to resign Gardy...

Nick Blackburn. It's hard to pick Bill Smith's worst call, but Nick was a big swing and miss. A GM really saddles a manager when he makes a signing like that, because that manager is going to have to trot that guy to the mound no matter how bad.

I don't know why, but we own the White Sox this year. Nice win!

It's hard not to at least empathize with those poor White Sox fans out there. Watching their team get a lead, actually have a decent effort from their starter...only to watch the inevitable crumbling defeat. Chicago just finds ways to lose ball games. And it sounds real familiar. The Twins would have done the same against any other opponent. But we'll take the win. Speaking of, here's hoping someone takes Mike Pelfrey off our roster as soon as the season ends. The only battered dead fish we need at Target Field is walleye-on-a-stick.

Good win tonight. The Twins have as good of a record as Toronto, Seattle, LA Angels, Mets, Phillies, Cubs, Brewers, and Giants.

BallFourAug. 16, 1312:24 AM

"The fans" failed to predict again. Said Target would be crickets chirping after the break. Well, that wasn't a second guess, so they were wrong. What did the Twins draw this week? 120,000 plus? 35 grand at the day game? They should stick to second-guessing bullpen management.

Why do Minnesotan's keep showing up to Twins games? Because most of us are sheep, that's why. This organization doesn't deserve our support, and if that ballpark was empty every night they'd be forced to make changes. Coaching changes. Upper management changes. Philosophical changes. Keep packing that ballpark every night and we'll continue to get the same old mediocrity every year.

Say what you will but I believe games like this prove Gardy is getting the best out of scrub players. These guys are busting their tail and fun to watch. They do not lose due to failure of trying. Two years from now these guys could be on top of the baseball world. There is a lot of mediocre teams in this sport and we are going to be loaded for bear.

Looks like BallF's predictions failed to produce again. I vividly remember the one claiming Gardy would have the team around .500 at the break and chirping at the Wild Card playoffs. Might be better off counting actual fans attending games.

BallFour@Nick Blackburn. It's hard to pick Bill Smith's worst call...well technically and more accurately Terry Ryan first drafted and signed Blackburn, all Smith did was extend his current contract with more money.
