nothing like bidding against yourselves.

Love Pek but 60M for injury prone player with no other bidders means we OVERPAID.

This is just totally awesome. It's been a long time since we had anything that could be called a "Big Three". If the roles and pieces, players and personalities, mesh -- we can have something really good here. And we've got the coach who can make that happen. I'm so excited for this season. Go Wolves!

Ouch! What happened to $48 million, with no other team making an offer? Wolves lost this game of stare down with Pek's agent.

They overpaid but at least they got him. Flip does us and the team no favors by perpetuating the cold weather stigma that we can never escape.

Pek got paid! Now we have a bruising center in place for 5 years. He has been improving rapidly in the past two years. In two more years he will be out-rebounding D Howard. Anyone see that ESPN predicts the Wolves will be the 8th seed in the Western Conference playoffs?

The first time you pull a fish through an ice fishing hole you will fall in love with ice fishing. Pek has it in his blood to live in Minnesota. He was probably ice fishing before he came to Minnesota. He fits in.

not a good enough player for 60mil

Vegas just posted the over- under on games played per season on Pek at 48. That puts his 5-yr deal at 240 games played out of 410 regular season games. Boy did we overpay on this one.

The 5th year is what took the contract from 48 to 60 million. Good for Sauiders for getting it done and sending a message to Love and Rubio that they will get theirs too!
