Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau had the look and the production, but they didn’t have the victory after the Twins bullpen faltered late.

Awful loss. Never, ever should lose a game up 7-3.

Goldengoph, the Twins are a BAD team. Bad teams do just that.

Mauer was 5 for 7 but hey....why should we expect a major newspaper to get their facts straight?!?!

The article said 5 for 7. You said 5 for 7. what's the problem.

Eleven strikeouts and twelve men left on base. Again, just playing consistent with the AA and AAA talent level of the team, nothing more and nothing less.

Mauer couldn't do more to help the team win. Good to see that. Not good to leave our pitcher in the 8th after some hits and a run, then pitching to Giambi. Pin part of this loss on Gardy - he tends to leave pitchers in a little too long.

why does every close loss have to get pinned on Gardy's pitching decisions? This crap team has only 2 or 3 guys hitting over .240?

An ugly loss. Four unearned runs for Cleveland; a blown 4 run lead in the 8th; and another stranded man-on-third-with-no-outs.

Tough to be any good at situational hitting when you average .214 or .229. or whatever. This has to be the worst hitting team in the majors. Dozier has been hot for a while and he's only hitting .242. Pathetic.

Gardy so mismanaged his pitching staff in Wednesday's loss to Cleveland that I half-expected him to bring in Ron Davis.
