They are doing due diligence NOW?! Oy, vey.

Due diligence? Maybe the local pols should do a bit of checking on the gambling revenues or lack thereof. This is a boondoggle, an owner that may not be qualified and a revenue stream that is non existence on the public side. Shut it down and start over. Now we are supposed to believe that this will be built on budget? This should not have passed. Start over, beginning with the reduction of the public commitment.

Exactly wilnelmpls! If they have concerns now then they are admitting they failed to do due diligence the first time around as this has been a public case for decades. This is a ploy to clawback money, period. I have no issue with the Wilfs or the Viking organization. Move on and Skol Vikings!

Wilf should just sell the Vikings to the state of Minnesota so that the fans can own shares in the team like the Green Bay Packers fans do. eliminate Wilf from the equation and the Vikings will become a much better franchise.

Poor Minnesota Sports fans. Just when you think you might have something encouraging, the other shoe drops...

Elected officials have done far worse and they still get elected by constituents who have issues with this.

Now our State guberment can play hard ball. NFL, Wilfs(future owners), major media outlets, ya'll can sign a contract to pony up the full cost of building the dream stadium in downtown Minneapolis every 25 years and play no fewer than ten nationally broadcast home games each season for the next 1000 years and 100% concessions profits to the Red Cross of Minnesota for the duration and the NFL will ensure there will be an NFL team named the Vikings in Minneapolis for the duration of the contract. Anything less is not worthy of the loss of good faith negotiating our guberment put forth. They; the Wilfs (NFL team owners), NFL, major media outlets; have broken the contract (at minimum in spirit) with the City of Minneapolis, the State of Minnesota, and the Metropolitan Sports Commission.

The Wilfs are being represented by the law firm of Dewey, Cheatem and Howe so Minnesota has nothing to worry about.

elo_62Aug. 13, 1310:48 PM

Shame on those Wilf people. How can they live with themselves knowing they stole $20m?

erikj3Aug. 13, 1310:55 PM

"A racketeering specialist will be looking into finances of Vikings’ owners after New Jersey case."...This should have been done, you know, BEFORE the deal passed the Legislature. Doing it NOW just makes everyone involved look like bigger fools. And you know what? Wilf will probably STILL end up getting his new toy. Disgusting.
