Thank you, Dan Cohen. You have my vote!

Here's my wildest fantasy: they finish tearing down the Metrodome, and then the new stadium deal falls through. The Vikings happily play outside at TCF Stadium (until football goes out of style in a few years due to rising awareness of concussions). Minnesota and Minneapolis dodge a fiscal bullet. Downtown East becomes available for job-creating, property-tax paying development, and the street grid is restored.

Good for you, Mr. Cohen. And shame on Michele Kelm-Helgen, who wants this to be done asap because she is the one that ruled against the City charter, allowing this fiasco to move forward.

Dan Cohen, a mayoral candidate with class and courage! Welcome, you would be a welcome change from Rybak, who sold out the citizens of Minneapolis. With a lot of help from Dayton and his chief "negotiator" ("sell-outer), Mondale.

Yeah, quick start this snowball going downhill so no sane people will be able to stop it.

Let Cohen stand aside. We don't need him getting in the way of progress anyway. He's better suited on the sidelines as real leadership gets the deal done.

Just be certain that this illegally constructed and ugly "Ship of Fools can" be loaded two-by-two with the likes of Dayton, Rybak, Mondale, Wilf (both of them), Kelm-Helgen, Rosen, Lanning, etc and pushed into the Mississippi for some southern state to have and pay for. And, I expect to see the Wilf Group's financial books line item by line item before anything is signed. No more SMIRK AND A HANDSHAKE deals from these schemers. A New Jersey judge sent our state a warning. Take the warning very seriously. BTW, good job on using the word "tentatively" in the article.

If they are willing to push this deal with a known crook through so fast, I want to know who else they have sold out to. How many more "shady" deals are there with developers, construction companies, light rail, etc...who knows?

do any of these council/commission types know how to balance a budget (or operate within one)? All should be on hold until you have a plan based on "reality" to pay for it.
