PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Equipped with a two-shot lead at the turn, still carrying a few scars from his PGA Championship collapse two years ago, Jason Dufner never showed signs of cracking.

Congratulations to a very deserving champion. Besides being a great guy, Jason had to wait, and wait, and wait, all round long for Furyk to overanalyze every shot.

Jim Furyk is a nice guy and, as the announcer said, "always the perfect gentleman," but he's the choke king and Dufner was practically flawless. He deserved the win.

Both guys seemed to get nervous on 17, bogey and double bogey. Furyk had his chances but couldn't get er done. Dufner is unflappable, same look on his face all the time. Another golf season in the books, and Jack Nicklaus is still the greatest golfer of all time. Tiger will never break Jack's major record!

Furyk was right. He played well but got beat by someone who played better.

Dufners drving and approach iron play was amazing and the reason he won. His lack of emotion puzzling until I found out he was from Alabama. Having spent some years living there, it was very familiar to me, not sure of the reason.

Big Jason Dufner fan, and was thrilled to see him hold off the field and win his first major. He's got the game to get several more, especially if he loosens up and starts rushing some of those putts to a distance 2-3' past the hole. His tee to green play is right near the very top, now. Loved this years big winners-Scott, Sneds, Phil, and Duf. Class acts, all!
