Sid, did you really expect him to tell the truth. He doesn't care as long as he makes money.

How can Pohlad make these comments with a straight face? His words say one thing, his actions another.

Of course Pohlad is pleased with 'yes man' Ryan. Ryan is the fall guy for the plummeting payroll. Smilin Jim is laughing all the way to the bank.

"Is there any reason he won’t be back?" i can think of a couple: 2011 - Manager: Ron Gardenhire (63-99) Scored 619 runs, Allowed 804 runs. 2012 - Manager: Ron Gardenhire (66-96) Scored 701 runs, Allowed 832 runs. 2013 - Manager: Ron Gardenhire (49-62) Scored 442 runs, Allowed 506 runs.

If they think Molitor is the answer, then keep Gardenhire. And I think Gardenhire stinks. Give ol' Jimmy Pohlad 7 or 8 years, and he will figure out he needs to clean house from St. Peter on down. By then, they will be averaging 12,000 a game, losing season after losing season. What a shambles of an organization.

Ol' Jimmy Pohlad is 60. He will never figure out how to run an MLB club. He and the family ought to sell. The next 5 plus years are doomed at best to mediocrity, more likely, complete failure.

Well, sure. Eventually, better times are ahead. Even the Cubs and Astros can't be this bad eternally.

Sure, Pohlad prefers to develop talent because it's cost-effective. But when that fails, he has a choice -- either pay for quality free agents or don't attempt to put a competitive team on the field. Clearly, Pohlad has chosen the latter. The Twins' payroll is lowest in the AL Central, and without the M&M contracts, would be at the bottom with Houston and Miami. The Target Field money the Pohlads promised to spend on a competitive team is going straight into their back pockets.

My Yankees LOVE the fact that the Pohlad's own the Twins....it means easy wins every year. Keep buying those tickets and watch "pitch to contact"........hee hee hee....

BallFour nailed this one! Times cannot get worse, even accidentally a team could win more than this squad has the last three years.
