The T-wolves knew he was a punk when they drafted him but he is talented and will hopefully grow with the Wolves. Fair sized risk though ??

Another guy bigger than the rules. Too bad, just another wasted draft pick. J R Rider II.

This orientation is about learning to abide by the rules and stay out of trouble. Looks like he struck out on both counts. There's really no excuse for what he did. But if he can become an efficient scorer and team player, this incident will be quickly forgotten.

Like a college kid trying to sneak a girl into his dorm room...only, this kid is already a millionaire and needs to be smarter than this.

I'm impressed. Getting excused from a program designed to help you grow up and take your responsibilities seriously is quite a development.

He was terrible in the summer league and now this! Shows he is not taking the responsibility of developing into an NBA star very seriously!! I'll bet he is in good graces with Coach Adelman too. Way to go showbust!!

Couldn't hold out for 4 days....predict he'll be getting lots of Father's Day cards in the future

Is he under contract yet? Best to cut him now or let him start in the D league. This has disaster written all over it. To bad some players can't see what an opportunity this is for them. What a waste. Just another young punk. Thing is he probably could care less about the whole deal. D league this goof. He needs the playing time anyway rather than rotting on the bench. McFail, KAHN! and now Flip. No judge of players.

On draft night of all the players the Wolves might have taken, the one player I hoped they would not pick, they did. Shabazz Muhammad has been spoiled and pampered all his basketball life by his father who when he was a teenager lied about his age so all thru AAU and high school in Las Vegas he was always playing against opponents who were younger than him. Hopefully this incident is a wake-up call. Otherwise this maybe the first of other social problems, in addition to just adjusting to the NBA basketball for the Wolves to realize he was a lot of sizzle and very little meat to survive in the NBA.

This guy doesn't "miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity"..... After his dismal showing in summer league, you would think he would be trying to work hard and impress the coaching staff.... Just wait till he plays against NBA players (instead of D-leager's and NBA rookies), he will get schooled on a nightly basis... I bet he doesn't average more than: 1.6 pts/game in his rookie season (career average will be below 6pts/game)!!! I have been a talent evaluator my entire life and of all the players in the draft, he was the worst choice for top 20 talent... I said before the draft that he was a jr RIDER II and would be a BUST!!! Given the choice between "showbust" and no pick, Flip would have been better off trading the 9th pick for a 1st round pick in 2014 or taking CJ McC or Bourke and if needed, using him as trade bait in future...
