MLB suspends 13 for PED use; only Rodriguez will appeal

Alex Rodriguez was among 13 players suspended by Major League Baseball on Monday for violating the league’s anti-doping protocols, the biggest single-day drug action in the sport’s history.

It should have been a lifetime ban for A-Rod. Pete Rose was banned for life for betting on his own team to win. I don't condone what Rose did, but gambling is classified as a disease. A-Rod and his ilk make me sick and I won't attend a major league game until MLB cleans up it's act.

Could some of the Twins please start taking steroids? We could use the power jolt, and we wouldn't miss anyone that gets banned.

Rodriguez is the only player planning to appeal and he also thinks they should be allowed 4 strikes.

Every team that Rodriguez faces during the suspension should turn their backs and face the outfield stands for 30 seconds each time he steps up to the plate. The crowds should also voice their displeasure every time the cheater comes to bat. His refusal to "come clean" should result in an even longer ban.

Cheating? The new American past time? In a recent study, investors in the stock market were asked if they would use insider trading information if they were sure they could get away with it... almost all of them said yes they would..... Face it, we have become a corrupt nation and the days of trusting people to do the right thing are just about over. It's official Ward and June are dead; lock your doors at night and send the Alex Rodriguez baseball card to all those stock market brokers. They all are in the same category.... and that "don't trust" list used to have used car salesman and lawyers at the top of the list.. now it is baseball players..... what's next, fake apple pie?

This over-the-top sanctimony on the part of Major League Baseball is beyond nauseating. This was a witch-hunt, pure and simple, and the witch pinpointed to burn at the stake was named Alex Rodriguez. The other twelve? They got what amounts to token slaps on the wrists compared to Alex's penalty, and even got those merely to justify effectively ending Alex Rodriquez' career. D'ya think that only these thirteen are juicers? D'ya really think that MLB doesn't KNOW that? This is really 20 years too late. This tarnish does not come off. Lay off the public sanctimony and start living in the real world, MLB.
