Sort of disappointing with the speech. Best thing he had to say about Minnesota was that he never felt UNCOMFORTABLE??? the whole time he was here. Wow Cris, is that really what you thought about Minnesota. Gee...glad you didn't feel uncomfortable.

d-dogs... kind of share your sentiments. I never got the feeling from Cris that he was bursting with pride to be wearing Purple, rather, as intense as he was and played the game and had high demands upon those who shared the field with him, it was because somewhere along the way he had it instilled in him to approach your work, your job, with everything you had with little tolerance for slackers or screwoffs. I used to get behind the scenes because of a dear friend who works for the team and I can tell you this story; this dude had a "shield" around him, especially on game days, sitting in the players lounge once at the HHH before a game, about the time players started arriving before the game, Carter walks in, alone, goes over to the bar and sits down. The fellow behind the bar slid a Perrier and a glass w/ice over to Cris and this was done without one word being said. Carter sat there for about 15 mins in which time not one person went up to him or said one word to him. He was dressed to the nines and very much looking to be in an all business mode. He got up and left the room having not exchanged one word or glance to anyone else there, it was as if no one else was there. Now, maybe he is just a solitary guy but that episode also left me wondering if he ever had any close friends on the team. But I agree with your post, never could tell if he was crazy to be a Viking. Just think d-dogs, in a little over 2 months we will be arguing about the Wild on here!!
