So there program has stopped ~50 terror plots in ~20 countries, huh? Well, my own program has stopped 200 in 35 countries. Only I can't tell you about it because it's top secret. You believe me, right?

We're doomed. Rather than seriously curtailing the programs or the abusive pieces, Congress only wants 'numbers' so they can appear to be monitoring it. Looks like the security industry made a few phone calls this week reminding senators where their contributions come from.

It's simple: There is no warrant and there is no "just cause" against the majority of Americans, therefore constitutional rights ARE being trampled, regardless of what the NSA and their cronies are saying. It couldn't be any clearer. A "secret court" granted absolute power, and as we all know, absolute power corrupts absolutely. As TeddyG said, "we're doomed".

mnmaid said: "A "secret court" granted absolute power"--------- The FISA court doesn't have absolute power. The government asks for a warrant to collect metadata from phone companies and the court either issues it, doesn't issue it or requires changes in the program. Far from being absolute, it's decisions can be overturned by the US Supreme Court.

I can't believe that there is virtually no coverage on XKeyScore! Its pretty frightening, how totally buried that such an important story has become! Isn't it ironic.... that it takes the Brits (The Guardian) to be watching out for our Constitutional rights... and to actually have the courage, and professionalism to dig into this story, and report it!?
