Sure, everybody’s asking, “Will Christian Ponder finally become a standout Vikings QB?’’ Evidence so far suggests it’s just too early to tell.

In the words of Al Davis "just win Baby". Winning games solves a lot of arguments.

"just too early to tell" = haven't seen any signs that would make me think he's the guy.

He just seems too timid to be a NFL quarterback. Not enough swag.

This article title must be a joke! The answer must wait? Ponderosa fans, what exactly are your expectations? Based on 5 years in college, his scouting report and 2 years in the Pro's. His ceiling is at the very most "Average". Since day 1 on 2011 draft day, I hated this pick. Nobody in the NFL thought he was a starter, or franchise guy. Ponder had great intangibles? good for you. Book smart? Great, go back to school. So I'm told, we can't judge Ponder until we get him some WR's? Bologna! The "real" Ponder we have seen. What else are we expecting? He'll continue to improve and get better? According to who?

We shouldn't have to ask this question at this time - the fact it's being asked is an answer in and of itself. He's not the guy they hoped he would be with using such a high pick on him - and he never will be that guy - a tough pill for spielman to swallow - I would wait to see what happens in Philly because I think mike Vick would thrive with the type of playmakers the Vikings have.

Was at the practice today, I found this article misleading. He only missed a couple of passes. The pass to Webb was a flat out drop. Quit trying to spin stories out of thin air. This micro analysis is getting beyond ridiculous. Give credit when it's due, just like you would criticism.

I can't believe people are all ready calling for Ponder's head after 3 days in pads. Have any of these people actually watch a practice or are they just going by reports from the media? I personally are glad the Vikes gave up on picking up well seasoned relics and are trying to develop a young player into a long term answer. I agree with the additions added to the offense Ponder has to have much more consistency but remember there are many new tools and new plays it will take a while to gel. I think the team is going to rally around Ponder and make him better. I like Ponder's fit on this team and hope he makes it. o

Ponder kind of reminds me of Tommy Kramer, but without Tommy's talent.

"Winning games solves a lot of arguments." - Easier said than done, pal.

Let's just hope Dan's not writing the same story again next year. Let's hope he either does well, or fails, like he's pretty much been doing through his first couple of years.
