Adrian Peterson talks with Dan Wiederer, Part Three

  • Article by: Dan Wiederer , Star Tribune

The Vikings will put the pads on at training camp for the first time Monday afternoon, continuing a lengthy stay in Mankato that they hope can propel another playoff run. The linchpin for this season’s success: running back Adrian Peterson, who has vowed to better the 2,000-yard MVP season he delivered a year ago. Vikings beat writer Dan Wiederer sat down this weekend for a 1-on-1 interview with Peterson. Here is Part Three of that discussion in its entirety.

From what I know about HGH, it affects your speed because, well, bulk kills speed. If you're trying to guess at NFL starts who are juicing, look at Clay Matthews. He looks like he should instead be a professional wrestler. Before AP, I'd point out the little RB's who are a whole foot shorter than AP (sarcasm, kind of) like Ray Rice and MJD, yet are the same weight as AP... I guess anything's possible these days, however.

I love Adrian Peterson. (as an aside, quite the slam on Leinhert - after his pro career, I am glad he has the Heisman trophy. ouch).
