The "Improvement" project will go through, but without any consideration given to cycling or pedestrians, which is inconceivable for any modern city in a major metro area, but not WSP, which is determined to stay firmly in the 1980s, they even just built a big puffy dome to prove it! This lack of investment in bike lanes, sharrows and pedestrian right of ways is especially awful considering that there is state and federal money involved. What a total travesty. Shame on you W Saint Paul, nothing but shame!!

Exactly. This will go from being a dangerous, unsightly, and financially unproductive car sewer to one that's just marginally less dangerous and unsightly but significantly more financially unproductive. We're missing out on the chance to de-stroad Robert Street. If they aren't going to turn it into a proper street, then at least consider a multiway boulevard approach. But instead it seems this will be another design from the 1980s/1990s.
