Can't think of a better way for a rookie to make his first major league homer count. Nice win for the team, and congratulations to you, Mr. C.

Morneau continuing to slide. I really hope he takes into equation what his numbers are to how much he wants. Twins are not going to pay more than 7m a year for him. Sometimes looks like he could slide into 250 territory which really is Triple A stuff for a first baseman IMHO.

Also hilarious when no one is around when Gardy manages a game well. NO one, literally but one other dude.

Most shocking win of the season. I don't remember the last time they beat Hernandez. If the pitchers throw a near-shutout every game, we should be OK;)

People just cannot admit when Gardy does his job right. Fire everyone sell Joe sell everybody! Good lord the hyperbole is amazing. I guarantee you next bad loss on a pitcher alone and the people will come out the woodwork looking for Gardy.

Gardy chooses to manage in the mold of latests trends. Rest everybody a lot and underwork your pitching staff. I think what really gets Twins fans is the organizational approach to hitting. Time and agagin when good hitters leave the Twins, they talk about the restrictions handcuffing their ability at the plate. That is overmanagement. I like Gardi and you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip, but I'm hoping Brunanski can over time turn the Twins into more of a free swinging bunch. BTW, I was blessed with twin babies that were two months premie and it is not comforting to see them so tiny and helpless. I'll be surprised if Joe can leave in a couple of days.

Nice win, great job by diamond keeping the game close. Congrats to Collabello, it is hard not to pull for someone who has tried to make it for so many years.

Joe won't get paid $250,000 for the two days he takes off. There are folks at the charity house needing cribs and diapers for their babies. Maybe the Twins could help out.

Kinda puts it in perspective what we pay these athletes. Mauer's lost salary in his two days off would take me several years to earn.

MLB needs to improve their health care leaves! If a player's WIFE and CHILDREN are in the hospital, shouldn't there be a medical leave extension with pay? My gosh, most of our peasant jobs allow that at least.
