Jets re-sign forward Blake Wheeler, agreeing to six-year, $33.6 million contract

WINNIPEG, Manitoba — The Winnipeg Jets and forward Blake Wheeler agreed to a six-year, $33.6 million contract Friday night.

I give him a Winnipeg fan because of Wheeler – my favorite player. He is amazing to watch – great passer, incredible acceleration, and he played very physical last year, particularly at the end of the season when the playoffs were on the line. Vastly underrated, although Winnipeg obviously knows his value. This is the guy that I wish the wild had targeted. If they had gotten, I would be a wild fan.

I like the Winnipeg Jets logo, but it kind of makes the team look like division of the Canadian Air Force. That aside, I am happy for Blake. Great hockey player, great person and he gets to stay relatively close to home. Can't beat that.
